after the offer for a new opportunity...after a 1 hour online application, personality test, 1 interview, 2nd interview, 3rd interview (250 miles away), 4th interview, all saying i was what they were looking for and i "had the job"...after an intense 2.5 weeks i was told late last week that they have gone with an internal candidate (who applied at the last minute) for the job i was expecting to accept.
i was supposed to have an offer as an AGM at a not yet opened Residence Inn outside of Chicago. The internal candidate stole my job!
A lot of people have been saying sorry (including those who interviewed me) that i didn't get the job. i don't feel that is necessary though. i was not looking for a job. i have a job and content with the workload and the salary. something was offered and i was told to apply...i was told i had the job but needed to go through the process....i did that...
i am not bummed out...nothing to be upset about...the other person had the same qualifications but was an internal candidate and was local to the area.
so there you go...for those of you that heard i was moving, i am not, and for those hoping i wouldnt leave...i am not!
